Can similac formula be refrigerated. Drinking from a bottle means bacteria from the baby s mouth gets into the formula in the bottle where the bacteria can start growing. Do not refrigerate the leftover formula to feed it to your baby later. As a general rule it is safe to refrigerate prepared baby formula in a sealed container for up to 24 hours. According to similac your unopened containers of ready to feed formula should be stored at room temperature.

Be sure to keep the formula in its original container until you are ready to use it.
