Varnishing over stickers will seal them on the wood making their presence practically permanent.

Can you clear coat over vinyl decals on wood. Vinyl decals were never intended to have a clear coat put on top as far as i can discover within product specifications. I apply a good base coat and sand and then apply the decal and let it dry. The strength of the adhesive allowed for a strong application to the wood and therefore wouldn t curl the edges of the decal when a light coat of polyurethane was applied.
